Ma-tea GREAT customer service

There was a mix-up on my original order, I had ordered a large gourd like this but received a very small one by mistake. After I contacted ma-tea about the error, their representative Carly, helped me get set up with the right gourd free of charge. She provided excellent customer service and resolved the problem swiftly! What a great company, I highly recommend doing business with them.

I got this gourd because of the large size. I like it, but have had two problems with it. First of all, the black dye rubs off on my fingers/hands when the gourd is warm (i.e. when drinking yerba). Not a grave problem, just annoying. Secondly, the top of the gourd was not cut evenly, therefor the metal rim did not fit properly and leaked badly. The fit was so terrible that even the dry yerba mate would leak out when turning the gourd upside down to shake the yerba mate before wetting. I ended up just removing the metal rim because it was such a pain and I like the gourd much better now. I would not recommend getting a gourd with a metal rim. If I could do it again, I would get one without the rim.
