Product Description

The world's easiest to use yerba mate server just got easier!  A new and improved filtered straw and sturdier inner tubing has made this functional accessory even more enjoyable.  For many, the YerbaCup is the easiest way to enjoy the traditional method because it includes a built in gourd and bombilla, as well as the added benefit of a built in water chamber (thermos that "serves" the water onto the Yerba Mate in the gourd). In yerba mate drinking countries they call this an autocebante.  Convenient for both travel and work, or simply when you're in a hurry!  Use with care, as black cup does not lock into place.  It is best to pick up by bottom to avoid damage.

The YerbaCup holds a maximum of four ounces of yerba mate and twelve ounces of water.

Other YerbaCup information available at www.yerbacup.com.

  1. Great idea

Really hope you find a non-plastic one soon!

  2. Great for portability

Posted by Unknown on 4th Feb 2013

Like others I found the need for a less conspicuous way to drink my mate in public! :) What a great solution!

When reading about it I couldn't picture how this worked and there were actually no instructions with the cup but none were really needed. It was obvious the water goes in the bottom chamber and the mate in the top chamber and there are little notches so there is only one way to get the cup back together correctly.

As I sipped water from the bottom was drawn up into the mate and with every sip of mate more water is drawn up.

Even though I'm not a big fan of anything plastic, this is the perfect portable solution when needed. I'd gladly pay more for a metal or glass solution were either available but this works for now.

FROM MA-TEA.COM: We agree that it would be great to find a glass or metal yerbacup. We're searching high and low and as soon as we find it we will be sure to grab them!

  3. Conveniently Tricky

Posted by Ryan on 3rd Dec 2012

No instructions are provided and I never found any tips on how to prepare this thing. I've tried several methods of inserting the built in bombilla, none of which consistently prevent clogging. However, with some patience, I have managed to enjoy my mate on my travels and in the office. My recommendation is to not walk away from the sink until there is a nice flow established

RESPONSE FROM MA-TEA.COM: Thanks for the helpful review. We are working on adding helpful instructions!
